I think the feature of using encoded name for split is only available in 94, not in 92?  In
92, you have to use the full name as you first tried. Unfortunately there is bug for certain
name.

I believe in my case the encoded region name is faa7f7c8d63a9d2e04566c4a97090899

and result:

hbase(main):004:0> split 'faa7f7c8d63a9d2e04566c4a97090899'

ERROR: Unknown table faa7f7c8d63a9d2e04566c4a97090899!

                                                    │····
