Actually, I am using the Cloudera Version CDH3.  Should have said...

So, I guess that's OK.

However, I wasn't hitting it that hard.  I had 4 clients each writing 
about 1000 bytes about 2/second.

What is a Fat Cell, and how do I query the number of Regions/Server?
