You extracted the jar file ment what??? you will receive the archieve file
that you need to extract .....


some of the problem you can check :

   1. Change 127.0.1.1 to 127.0.0.1 in your hosts file.


   - Your host file shoud look something like

               127.0.0.1 localhost
               127.0.0.1 ubuntu.ubuntu-domain ubuntu

   1. Try to ssh your localhost and see you can connect.
   2. Check if you have sun java installed and path is set to java
   3. Configuration should have
   4.
   5. <property>
   6.     <name>hbase.rootdir</name>
   7.     <value>/localpath/hbase</value>
   8. </property>
   9.
   10. Check these options and see if it works <goog_1064349700>
   11.

   12.
   <goog_1064349700>
