You need to copy both the Hadoop and HBase JAR to both YCSB/lib/ and
YCSB/hbase/lib/.

BTW - I never got a chance to respond, but thanks to those who
responded to my inquiry last week.  Turning on RPC debugging showed me
that the issue was as simple as a problem with the box running YCSB as
HBase was processing requests just fine.
