Hi [~anoop.hbase], indeed, it will first prefer the flush policy, then the CF policy (if any).

      String policyName = storagePolicy;
      if (null == policyName) {
        policyName = this.conf.get(ColumnFamilyDescriptorBuilder.STORAGE_POLICY);
      }
{code}

storagePolicy is the flush policy. If there is none, it will look at the CF policy.
