I think I'd need to know more about the intended use to say if delegators would be a help.
I'm also not sure the suggestion was made with the CP interfaces in 2.0 in mind, though. Maybe
this is feedback about the interfaces in 1.x?  [~jamestaylor] to clarify, please.
