Subject [jira] [Commented] (HBASE-18753) Introduce the unsynchronized TimeRangeTracker
Date Thu, 07 Sep 2017 22:43:00 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-18753?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16157800#comment-16157800

stack commented on HBASE-18753:

bq. Will replace it by ASYNC

ASYNC is incorrect. See definitions. We are talking about synchronized access vs non-synchronized
access; not some deferred operation with callback, etc.

The patch looks good. The enums on create are a little awkward. Will there ever be more than
two modes?

> If HBASE-18752 is pushed, it will be better to introduce the unsync TimeRangeTracker
for reducing the cost of recalculation.
