Subject [jira] [Updated] (HBASE-16196) Update jruby to a newer version.

Mike Drob updated HBASE-16196:
------------------------------
    Attachment: HBASE-16196.v5.patch

Patch attached, v5 owing to [~mmullins]'s v1-4.

Unit tests in hbase-shell module pass for me. Manually tested the ruby scripts in {{bin}}
against a standalone cluster, found and filed HBASE-17988 as already broken.

I did mostly the bare minimum changes to get compatible with Ruby 2 syntax. I think we should
do additional style clean-up like switch to the 1.9 hash syntax in a follow on issue, to keep
patch size down and easy to review.

> Ruby 1.8.7 is no longer maintained.
> The TTY library in the old jruby is bad. The newer one is less bad.
> Since this is only a dependency on the hbase-shell module and not on hbase-client or
hbase-server this should be a pretty simple thing that doesn't have any backwards compat issues.
