Subject [jira] [Commented] (HBASE-17527) Allow IntegrationTestBigLinkedList table to be in memory compacted
Date Wed, 25 Jan 2017 16:58:26 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-17527?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15838122#comment-15838122

stack commented on HBASE-17527:

bq. No. By default new tables use MemoryCompactionPolicy.NONE

Even if it were to be off by default -- we want it to be on by default -- making it so you
can set policy with commands to ITBLL (only!) is just short-sighted. We have a swath of IT
jobs. I have to go edit each of those individually to do as here if I want to test inmemory
options as is done here? The poor user finds these options on ITBLL then goes to use another
tool and they are not present?

> Currently IntegrationTestBigLinkedList table doesn't support specification of in memory
compaction scheme.
> This JIRA is to add support for specifying different in memory compaction policies.
