> Do alignment in heapOverhead() for ExtendedCell implementations
> ---------------------------------------------------------------
> Key: HBASE-17254
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-17254
> Project: HBase
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 2.0.0
> Reporter: Xiang Li
> Assignee: Xiang Li
> Priority: Minor
> In KeyValue (and maybe other ExtendedCell implementations), heapOverhead() does not do
alignment(padding gap). I think alignment is required when calculating heapOverhead, because
the space losses due to alignment can not be used by other objects in heap.
