In v8, testCleanScannerThread should be renamed - see v6.

    int scanPeriod = conf.getInt(SCAN_PERIOD, 10 * 60 * 1000);
{code}
In debugger, I can see value of scanPeriod being 60000 (the default).

I think we should check that the value of scanPeriod is not smaller than 10 * 60 * 1000.
