appear in their JMX hierarchy, but could also make this standalone like MetricsWAL. Any preference?
Is it worth sharing the implementation? In any case, we need to differentiate the JVM pause
metrics for RS / Rest or Thrift based on the server type. If not, the approach in the patch
seems fine.
