Subject [jira] [Updated] (HBASE-14529) Respond to SIGHUP to reload config
Date Thu, 08 Oct 2015 23:31:27 GMT

Elliott Clark updated HBASE-14529:
    Release Note:
HBase daemons can now be signaled to reload their config by sending SIGHUP to the java process.
Not all config parameters can be reloaded.

In order for this new feature to work the hbase-daemon.sh script was changed to use disown
rather than nohup. Functionally this shouldn't change anything but the processes will have
a different parent when being run from a connected login shell.
