[~toffer] our main point was not to have the for loop that was sending the request on each
Server on the client; just because it means breaking client compatibility, if we want to change
the way we propagate notifications.

quickly skimmed v2, and moving the for loop on the server side looks good to me. 
let me get back and review it properly later, but if there is something it will be just minor
stuff.
