Pankaj Kumar commented on HBASE-13946:
--------------------------------------

Also in TThreadPoolServer, currently threadKeepAliveTimeSec is hard coded as 60 sec.

{code}

 return new ThreadPoolExecutor(args.minWorkerThreads,
                                  args.maxWorkerThreads,
                                  60,
                                  TimeUnit.SECONDS,
                                  executorQueue);

{code}

I will raise a Jira in THRIFT project for this issue.

> For HSHA and ThreadPool servers, there should a way to configure the minWorkerThreads
and threadKeepAliveTimeSec so that user will be able maintain specific number of idle threads
for specific interval of time.
> Currently it is 5 and 60 sec respectively.
