Subject [jira] [Commented] (HBASE-13584) Disable distributed log replay by default for 1.1
Date Tue, 28 Apr 2015 21:20:07 GMT

stack commented on HBASE-13584:

I'd be interested in reports on how bad it is. I've had good luck with it running three or
four 2B ITBLL w/ monkey runs successfully. I'm trying to run ITBLL at a scale I've not done
before, 10B rows (~4-5hours with chaos monkey) and it is here that I was able to trigger HBASE-13567
(it is taking me a while to figure root cause).

> -------------------------------------------------
> Key: HBASE-13584
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-13584
> Project: HBase
> Issue Type: Task
> Components: master, MTTR
> Affects Versions: 1.1.0
> Reporter: Nick Dimiduk
> Assignee: Nick Dimiduk
> Priority: Critical
> Fix For: 1.1.0
> Attachments: HBASE-13584.00.branch-1.1.patch
> HBASE-12743 hasn't a clear owner and our [~devaraj] has been seeing issues around this
in internal runs as well. It also seems to be incompatible with rolling upgrade from 0.98,
so folks making the upgrade to 1.1 will need to disable it out the gate anyway.
