Agreed, the README should be better worded. "Active development" != "unsupported and must
upgrade". A check of our JIRA will demonstrate that we make approximately monthly releases
of 0.94 containing bug fixes. 

bq.Also 0.96 should not be present at all as it is EOL

That's fair. [~stack] what do you think?
