Subject [jira] [Commented] (HBASE-12122) Try not to assign user regions to master all the time
Date Wed, 01 Oct 2014 23:50:33 GMT

Jimmy Xiang commented on HBASE-12122:

Threads.sleep prints out stacktrace, and interrupts the thread right away. It's a little different
so I created a new private one.

With patch v1, regions are still assigned to the master sometimes. I am trying to make sure
not to put on the master any regions other than those configured to be on the master.

> Load balancer does a good job not to assign regions of tables not configured to put on
the active master. However, if there is no other region server, it still assigns users regions
to the master. This happens when all normal region servers are crashed and recovering.
