Jeffrey Zhong updated HBASE-12103:
    Release Note:
Check existence of HFiles in v1 format. Usage is as following:
usage: HFileV1Detector [-h] [-n <arg>] [-p <arg>]
 -h,--help                    Help
 -n,--numberOfThreads <arg> Number of threads to use while processing
 -p,--path <arg> Path to a table, or hbase installation
In case no option is provided, it processes hbase.rootdir using 10 threads.
 To detect any HFileV1 in a given hbase installation '/myhbase':
 $ $HBASE_HOME/bin/hbase org.apache.hadoop.hbase.util.HFileV1Detector -p /myhbase

> Backport HFileV1Detector to 0.94

> The reason of back porting is that 0.96+ HBase doesn't support HFileV1 format anymore.
While HFileV1Detector in 0.96+, which is supposed to check v1 hfile before upgrade, can't
talk to pre 0.96 cluster because underlying hadoop doesn't compatible either due to protocol
buffer version bump.
> After the back port, a user can just download the latest 0.94 HBase tar ball in a machine,
point its config to a 0.94 cluster to check v1 file existance by running following command:
> {code}
> ./bin/hbase org.apache.hadoop.hbase.util.HFileV1Detector -p <hbase root data path>
> {code}
