That is 100% not correct. If the client hit the operation timeout or lose the connection with
the server you'll get a failure (non-zero value), which you are not able to interpret. The
snapshot may be created or may not be created.

Unknown state after timeout/connection errors are a problem with a bunch of the shell operations.
Do we need to have a specified return code for them so that the docs can call it out as a
special case before adding examples at all under HBASE-11655?
