It's more or less the same code that is used behind the scene when you do a single put.

Strong +1 for not using the ThreadLocalHtable. Personally I would give a try to the call to
HConnection#processBatch stuff. It's it's better it justifies an undeprecation imho (I'm not
saying this just for this jira: I think it make sense to have an interface different than
HTable). But if you prefer another approach, it's fine for me, it's your patch :-) (provided
that there is no thread local :-) )
