Elliott Clark commented on HBASE-9338:

Ok, so I'm pretty sure that I have it. Hadoop 2.1.0 was a red herring. I just noticed the
failures around then because I had upped the test iterations in preparation for a 0.96 rc.

Pretty sure the cause is Online Schema Change. I've been running lots of different tests,
and whenever I have those chaos monkey actions then IntegrationTestLoadAndVerify passes.
I'm running IntegrationTestBigLinkedList right now to make sure that is the issue for both.
But I think there is some bug where data can be skipped or returned mal-formed while the
change is in progress. So if the IntegrationTestBigLinkedList run passes (takes about 8 hours
with the number of iterations we run on the cluster) then I think we should disable Online
Schema Change for 0.96.

I know I was the one that enabled it, but I think this will help with stability for the upcoming
