Enis Soztutar commented on HBASE-9193:
--------------------------------------

I am confused by the approach in this patch. I agree on the overall goal for making the policy
configurable from the command line, so that we can combine different actions / policies with
different tests. However, instead of having a MonkeyFactory, and multiple monkey implementations,
we should have one monkey implementation and a policy factory I think. There is already a
concept of named policies, and a way to combine actions into policies. Shouldn't calm|slowDeterministic|unbalance,
etc be named policies, instead of monkeys?

> Would be awesome to have every it test derive from the same base class that all allow
setting of which ChaosMonkey.Actions to run.
> Something like:
> {code}
> hbase org.apache.hadoop.hbase.test.IntegrationTestLoadAndVerify -Dverify.reduce.tasks=12
-DchaosMonkeyActionSet=SlowDeterministic loadAndVerify
> {code}
