Subject [jira] [Commented] (HBASE-8015) Support for Namespaces
Date Fri, 21 Jun 2013 02:03:22 GMT

Francis Liu commented on HBASE-8015:

I think the old API will be against default NS.
The FQTN (Fully Qualified Table Name) would be an internal or something that could be passed
to external tools (command-line, shell).
Is it possible to support FQTN as well? Or is going this route to avoid surprise completely?
One concern that I see internally is that all our users will have to update their code to
use the new apis so we can migrate them to new NS. As opposed to having just a table name
then it's just a simple config change and restart.
