Subject [jira] [Commented] (HBASE-7908) Add jstack logs in hbase-common.sh when killing the server.
Date Sun, 24 Mar 2013 04:39:15 GMT

stack commented on HBASE-7908:

My opinion is that the less places the poor operator has to trawl, the better for them. .out
already catches thread dumps so I'd think that the operator would go there anyways looking
for thread dumps. Having thread dumps usually show in .out but then when we thread dump because
of a hung server, an operator needs to go to a distinct file, will only confuse (IMO)
> Add jstack logs in hbase-common.sh when killing the server.

> It might be a good idea to keep the jstack logs when killing -9 never ending servers.
