Subject [jira] [Updated] (HBASE-7301) Force ipv4 for unit tests
Date Fri, 07 Dec 2012 23:29:21 GMT

Jean-Daniel Cryans updated HBASE-7301:

    Fix Version/s: 0.96.0
Summary: Force ipv4 for unit tests (was: TestMasterReplication broken in trunk,
does NPE)

Alright so I didn't see any NPE but those tests did fail on my machine along with TestReplication.
Upping the sleeps in the tests made it work and digging down I re-discovered the fact that
ipv6 is giving me 5 seconds pause. Forcing ipv4 in the pom fixed it for me and Stack so I'm
changing the title for this jira to be about that.

> Assignee: Jean-Daniel Cryans
> Fix For: 0.96.0
> These two tests are failing when I run them locally:
> Failed tests:   testMultiSlaveReplication(org.apache.hadoop.hbase.replication.TestMultiSlaveReplication):
Waited too much time for put replication
> testCyclicReplication(org.apache.hadoop.hbase.replication.TestMasterReplication): Waited
too much time for put replication
> testSimplePutDelete(org.apache.hadoop.hbase.replication.TestMasterReplication): Waited
too much time for put replication
> The TestMasterReplication is NPE'ing
> Mighty JD said he'd take a looksee.
