ramkrishna.s.vasudevan commented on HBASE-6464:

As per the recent code changes I remember a NPE was fixed while getting the tables.
 HTableDescriptor[] htd = new HTableDescriptor[0];
I could see this change in getHTableDescriptors().
> reportTableInFlux() throws NPE when no table is returned.

>             Project: HBase
>          Issue Type: Bug
>          Components: hbck
>    Affects Versions: 0.94.0, 0.96.0

>            Priority: Critical

> reportTableInFlux() gets all tables not in flux. However, when no table is found in getTable(numSkipped)
function, it will return null. Then, errorReporter attempts to print the table number, which
causes a NPE here.
