Subject [jira] [Reopened] (HBASE-19651) Remove LimitInputStream
Date Thu, 28 Dec 2017 22:21:03 GMT

stack reopened HBASE-19651:
---------------------------

I reverted the patch from master and branch-2. A coworker pointed me at HBASE-10255, a messy
issue that covers the same area with a bunch of spew mostly around erratic, unjustified behaviors.
Spare yourself a heartache and avoid reading it. Over in HBASE-10255, there are a few items
of interest. The first being that it is probably more natural going to the guava replacement
for this checked-in old guava class. Failing that, could do commons version but would need
a bit of a perf compare given this a fundamental Stream. Thanks you.

> Let us "drink our own champagne" and use the existing Apache Commons BoundedInputStream
instead.
