- compiled from source and run few unit-test
TestAdmin*,Test*Master*,Test*Region*
- inspected the binary for hadoop1 and hadoop2
- started hbase with both binaries
- few commands from shell: create/disable/enable/drop/split, put/get/scan,
snapshot/clone_snapshot
- clicked around the webui
- executed a simple bulkload and checked the data
- performance evaluation run random write/read with autosplit
- checked the logs for anything strange
