* verified src tarball corresponds to 1.0.2RC2 tag
* verified license and notice files
* RAT passes

known issues, none of which I think warrant another RC:

* HBASE-13088 - native client missing in src tarball
* HBASE-14245 - netty 3 license/notice errors
* HBASE-14244 - hbase-resource-bundle jar's NOTICE file misses end year
