ramkrishna.s.vasudevan resolved HBASE-10861.

Committed to trunk. Thanks for the review Stack and Anoop.
I think this would help us in making changes to use BR instead of BB.
Let me make new patches for the corresponding JIRAs and take up further discussions there.
