Subject Question regarding .META. cache hits
Date Wed, 08 Jun 2011 19:20:11 GMT

While doing lots of reads I took a look at the requests coming into region
servers (from webui)
It looks like there are lot of requests (some times 10x or more) for server
which is hosting .META. compared to other servers.
This is pure read test, so there are no modifications to .META. region
I would assume client would have cached .META. once and never go back unless
there is cache miss via region not exists on a server.
Trying to find out how region information is cached, shows me that it is
based on tablename and connection? (I might be wrong here)
This information could be common for all connections, right? I will try to
enable debugging and get more information.
Is this something to do with the way connection's are handled in 0.90.2 (and
will improve as part of 3777).

Have a Nice Day!
