Subject [jira] Resolved: (HBASE-1752) when a regionserver shuts down writes in progress are no retried by the client
Date Fri, 07 Aug 2009 02:47:14 GMT

Andrew Purtell resolved HBASE-1752.
-----------------------------------

    Resolution: Invalid

Never mind. I'm going to mark this as invalid. It's inconvenient but does seem like client
side is doing what it is supposed to be doing (and has been configured for). The application
in this case should be retrying.

> When a regionserver aborts, there is a window where clients are continuing to try to
write to it, but the writes are failing:

> The client does not retry, so the data is lost. Maybe we can get this in for RC2?
