atomic increment doesn't increase size of memcache so this issue is a little odd

if you want the value persisted, perhaps flush every n requests rather than via an artificial manipulation of size?

ValueAndSize seems odd too.  When would size ever be other than a long?  Can't it be a define for atomicIncrement?
