Yair Even-Zohar updated HBASE-838:
----------------------------------

    Attachment: hbaseEC2Ssripts.tar

I rewrote Michael Gottesman Hbase EC2 Utilities to match the newer release 0.19.0. They are
in this patch.
Simple usage:

1) tar -xf hbaseEC2Ssripts.tar
2) vi bin-019/hbase-ec2-env.sh and modify your account ID, key, secret key and bucket_name
3) bin-019/hbase-ec2 create-image and now you have your own AMI
4) bin-019/hbase-ec2 launch-cluster <groupName> <number of slaves>

> I rewrote the Hadoop EC2 Utilities for HBase. They are in this patch. I put them in src/contrib
> I also made an hbase-ami. It just works out of the box. It provides functionality for
creating slaves that run both hbase regionservers and hadoop datanodes or creating seperate
groups of slaves for hbase regionservers and hadoop datanodes.
> The bucket is called 'hbase-ami'.
> I am going to make the ami public as well.
