Subject [jira] Commented: (HBASE-817) Hbase/Shell Truncate
Date Wed, 20 Aug 2008 01:58:46 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-817?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12623874#action_12623874

Jim Kellerman commented on HBASE-817:

Why? For convenience? All truncate does is "disable <table name>", "delete <table
name>", and "create <table name>"; possibly only saving the specification of the
schema (HTableDescriptor) required to recreate the table.
