With respect to hql, it is not going to be removed for 0.1.0 for a couple of
reasons:
- 0.1.0 is feature frozen to whatever was in Hadoop-0.16.0
- We do not yet have a replacement for hql nor would we release it with 0.1.0

You can be assured hql will be removed before HBase-0.2.0
