I believe you did not test release mode with -Xem:opt and -sever keys.

More over, the debug mode (with any EM) looks fine (HWA prints "Hello")
still the exit code is 128, not 0... (so I missed this fail too from very
beginning).

Does it explain why your testing was succesfull?
