Pierre Queinnec commented on HARMONY-5114:

Just to document my progress :
I just finished making Harmony compile on 10.6. My Git branch is named 'osx-10.6' at https://github.com/pmq/harmony-java6
We need slightly less patches than OS X 10.5.

To test it, you need to first install Harmony's dependencies, using MacPorts :
port install jpeg lcms libpng freetype

I use :
export ANT_OPTS='-Xms256m -Xmx512m'
ant fetch-depends

> Actually neither Sun nor Apple provide support for Java 1.6 on Leopard (OS X 10.6) while
this release has been available for 11 months. The major migration issue will be the integration
with the Cocoa framework (based on Objective-C 2.0). At this point however, a working version
within the X11 environment would be a good starting point.
