Subject [jira] Commented: (HARMONY-5266) [buildtest][reliability] HttpConnectionTest fails when www.apache.org is not accessible
Date Fri, 07 Dec 2007 09:23:43 GMT

Stepan Mishura commented on HARMONY-5266:

Andrey, after applying the last patch I still see the test failure:

Server thread 980 could not accept request: The address is not available
Failed to connect to http://localhost:42797/ : Too many open files
*** iteration: 972
test result is 105

It looks like the test doesn't care about closing all opened streams.

> HttpConnectionTest tries to connect harmony.apache.org for testing purposes by default.
I think it is spam-like behavior in not too polite; moreover it caused fails if site is not
available or proxy was not set correctly.
> I suggest adding simple http stub server into this test in order to get rid of such dependency.
