Vladimir Beliaev commented on HARMONY-5064:

In particular, the following tests failed:

My local testing showed one more tests is also failing (intermittent)...

To reproduce (note: do not use cygwin's unzip, use HotSpot 1.5.0):

1. download (to the current directory) SDK (eclipse-SDK-3.3-win32.zip) from:

2. download (to the current directory) EUT3.3 (eclipse-Automated-Tests-3.3.zip) from:

3. unzip eclipse-Automated-Tests-3.3.zip
4. enter resulted eclipse-testing
5. unzip eclipse-junit-tests-I20070625-1500.zip
6. unzip eclipse-SDK-3.3-win32.zip to this eclipse-testing saying "yes" for all overridings

7. execute the script:

    @echo off
set JAVA_HOME=<windows path to your harmony to be used>
    set PATH=%JAVA_HOME%\bin;%PATH%

    set CMD=
    set CMD=%CMD% java
    set CMD=%CMD% -jar eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.0.0.v20070606.jar
    set CMD=%CMD% -application org.eclipse.test.coretestapplication
    set CMD=%CMD% -dev bin
    set CMD=%CMD% -data workspace
    set CMD=%CMD% formatter=org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.optional.junit.XMLJUnitResultFormatter,log.xml

    set CMD=%CMD% -testpluginname org.eclipse.core.tests.resources
    set CMD=%CMD% -classname org.eclipse.core.tests.resources.AutomatedTests

    echo %CMD%

> Environment: Windows x86
> Reporter: Vladimir Beliaev
> There is a regression shown by EUT33 according to:
> http://people.apache.org/~smishura/r588030/Windows_x86/eut33/
> I've found the breaking commit - r587517:
> The fix for HARMONY-4794 was applied. With this fix Harmony is be able to create
& open & delete files with non-ASCII symbols in names on Windows. All file names are
now converted to UTF-8 before passing to native functions. Correct handling of UTF-8 names
was added to "hyfile.c".
> Could the author fix this, please?
> Thanks
