Subject [jira] Commented: (HARMONY-4873) [drlvm][exception] NullPointerException causes SIGSEGV

Mikhail Fursov commented on HARMONY-4873:
-----------------------------------------

I found that the reason of failure is:

[r572671] Applied patch from HARMONY-4407 [drlvm][stack]One page on the stack is
not enough to create SOE on Windows x86-64. Additionally 2 kernel
tests excluded on win64 on interpreter because of HARMONY-4733

The failure is not reproduced if you rollback 1 file:

svn update -r 572291 vm/vmcore/src/exception/exceptions_jit.cpp

Note: if you start to rollback commits one by one from the current date you will find that
regression was introduced by
[r575666] Fix for HARMONY-4702 [drlvm][jit] DRLVM is able to run SjAS in server

this is not true, because this commit only changed the way NPE was handled in JET for the
failing test: instead of software NPE handling this commit enables hardware handling.

> The following innocent test causes segmentation fault if executed on DRLVM. However,
it passes ok on RI and J9.
