Alexey Varlamov commented on HARMONY-4845:

I recently discovered "presetdef" task in core Ant which seems to be an ideal solution, both
for classlib (which has a lot of copy-pasted settings in each module's build.xml) and for
drlvm. I wonder why it was not used by our build gurus earlier - are there any issues like
known ant bugs?
Will try it in DRLVM.

> Project: Harmony

> Components: DRLVM

> Currently DRLVM build compiles kernel classes with debug="${hy.java.debug}" flag. But
hy.java.debug is never set in the build.
> Also I think in release mode line numbers in kernel classes should be available anyway
because otherwise exception stack traces don't show lines in the code. Local variable tables
should be available in debug, and unavailable in release modes.
