Subject [jira] Commented: (HARMONY-1568) [classlib][beans] XMLDecoder(3 params).getExceptionListener() returns object on RI and 'null' on Harmony

spark shen commented on HARMONY-1568:
-------------------------------------

The error message is thrown out by XMLDecoder.DefaultExceptionListener.
In it's sole exceptionThrown method, exception stack trace is printed out directly to System.err.
IMO, this behavior should be avoid in class library implementation. But remove all the stack
trace printing statements will leave a trivial DefaultExceptionListener implementation, which
is a little silly. I will try to write some test case to detect it's behavior first.

> The spec says for the constructor XMLDecoder(InputStream in, Object owner, ExceptionListener
exceptionListener):
> "exceptionListener - the exception handler for the stream; if null the default exception
listener will be used"
> The RI use default listener while harmony 'null'.
