Subject [jira] Updated: (HARMONY-4513) [classlib][luni] Wrong value for DAY_OF_MONTH at Gregorian cutover date
Date Sun, 22 Jul 2007 11:51:07 GMT

Alexander Frey updated HARMONY-4513:
------------------------------------

    Attachment: GregorianCalendarTest.java

A junit test to show the issue:
testGC_15821015(a|b|c) fail: 1582-10-15 00:00:00.000 becomes 1582-10-05 00:00:00.000
testGC_15821015d passes: 1582-10-15 00:00:01 (isn't changed)
testGC_20070716 shows the problem in case the cutover date is changed to another date

In testGregorianChange() the Date returned by getGregorianChange() returns "5 Oct 1582 00:00:00
GMT" if toGMTString() is called. It seems to be the same issue.

> GregorianCalendar reports the wrong DAY_OF_MONTH for midnight of its cutover date. It
seems like Harmony uses the Julian calendar for this moment while RI uses the Gregorian calendar.
