This is now a Swing problem - setLookAndFeel(String) calls Class.forName(String), the exception arises there, and the issue must be located there.

I couldn't reproduce the problem, the test throws NPE on RI, DRLVM and IBM VM, probably the issue in Class.forName() is already fixed.

I think this issue may be closed as Won't Fix.
