Subject [jira] Commented: (HARMONY-2416) [drlvm][testing] JVM crash handling implementation

Alexey Varlamov commented on HARMONY-2416:

Alexander, sorry for late reply - here are my concerns:
1) the suggested solution requires ant classpath manipulations, this way is known slippery.
Just try to apply this solution to classlib build and see what issues are met;
2) It is strongly tied to JUnit harness (note this is not the same as storing tests in JUnit-format
- there are other harnesses supporting it, e.g. TestNG).

And the most concern, I dislike solving the same problem many times and maintaining parallel
I have to admit that the suggested way is reliable enough, but still hope there are less intrusive
solution exist - let's engage the community.

>             Project: Harmony
>          Issue Type: Improvement
>          Components: DRLVM

> The current test launching mechanism implemented by Ant's <junit> task does not
handle JVM crashes. So at present it is impossible to determine did some test fail during
the tests execution or not.
