Subject [jira] Updated: (HARMONY-2392) [drlvm][jvmti] Breakpoints refer to deleted methods when deleting Global_Env
Date Fri, 01 Dec 2006 12:36:26 GMT

Ilya Berezhniuk updated HARMONY-2392:
-------------------------------------

    Attachment: remove_breakpoints.patch

Suggested patch fixes problem.
Because Breakpoint event should be generated in PHASE_LIVE only, we can remove all JVMTI breakpoints
when transferring to PHASE_DEAD.

> When JVMTI breakpoints are used JIT mode, and not deleted on PHASE_LIVE, VM fails on
assertions or access violations while deleting Global_Env.
> It's because TI deletes breakpoints when some classes are deleted already, and breakpoint->method
fields refer to deallocated memory regions.
