Subject [jira] Updated: (HARMONY-1951) [drlvm] Simple thread test results different on DRLVM and Sun RI
Date Wed, 22 Nov 2006 15:47:03 GMT

Salikh Zakirov updated HARMONY-1951:

    Attachment: use-HyThreadMonitor.notify_flag-to-prevent-spurious-interrupt-wakeups.patch

This patch provides a simpler fix for the spurious wakeups problem: it uses notify counter
together with wait counter. Since all waits and notify operations are only performed while
monitor lock, notify_flag modifications are thread safe.

> I'm not sure how critical this is - I just wanted to note it sometwhere. The attached
program produces two slightly different outputs when run on DRLVM vs Sun RI.
