Tim Ellison commented on HARMONY-1819:

Sorry, should have mentioned that I uncommented the DetachCurrentThread call as per -dev list

> Key: HARMONY-1819
> URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HARMONY-1819
> Project: Harmony
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: Misc

> Priority: Minor
> Attachments: launcher.patch
> As it was discussed and agreed on the list (see thread "[drlvm] Should the launcher print
uncaught exceptions?" ) the launcher should not call jni->ExceptionDescribe method in case
of error. Instead jvm->DestroyJavaVM should call uncaught excption handler which prints
out exception stack trace by default. Here is the patch which fixes the problem.
> NOTE: need to check if J9 requires jvm->DetachCurrentThread() right before jvm->DestroyJavaVM
> Thanks Evgueni
